Why Women Can not Keep Secrets?

One study revealed, women can not keep a secret for long. Results of the study states, 43% of women unintentionally divulge a supposedly secret story to a close friend - and the other 15% tells secrets to more than one friend.

This study also found, 4 out of 10 female respondents admitted that they can not keep secrets, no matter how personal or confidential that secret.

Most often, the secrets that women can't keep are the secrets about their partners. The study showed that 40% of them claimed to have told their partner's secret at least to one friend.

But men are different from women on divulging secrets. Men prefer to divulge his secrets or the secrets about their partner to a stranger.

Phillip Hodson from the British Association of Counseling Psychotherapy said, "In essence, men are more reluctant to reveal things about themselves and their lives, while women tend to be more confident and trust their friends more."

So, why do women love to spill the beans? According to Sara Hartley, a writer from the IllicitEncounters.com, "Women, if they get into trouble, always feel better to have from their friends. No wonder the womenfolk enjoy sharing all things, even their secrets."

But, according to Hodson, there is one secret that most women will always keep. What is it? The answer is: infidelity. Women tend to cover up their affairs from their friends.

However, this does not apply to men. Men tend to tell their 'adventures' to their guy friends in order get the status of a stud in their eyes.
